On November 10, TASS published the research on the study of "The Contribution of Digital Platforms to the Development of Creative Industries and the Support of Creative Entrepreneurship", conducted by the NAFI Research Center and Google with the support of the Creative Industries Federation, the Intellectual Property Federation and the Committee on Intellectual Property and Creative Industries of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP).
The goals of the study were to evaluate the contribution of digital platforms to the creative economy by identifying the level of demand for digital Internet platforms and to develop recommendations for the development of creative industries through the use of digital platforms.
A total of 12 focus groups, more than 1000 respondents and 13 interviews with the expert community made it possible to conduct a deep and comprehensive research.
It resulted in 18 insights, which will help to take a new look at the development of creative industries.
Some of them are as follows:
Insight #3. Russian Internet users demonstrate a high level of demand for content from digital platforms in key spheres of life, including activities connected to the creative sector (creation and consumption of creative products).
Insight #11. Thanks to the current level of digitalization, creative companies are growing 3-5 times faster than the overall economy.
Insight #18. One of the main reasons for the lack of export direction of creative companies is the lack of practical experience and knowledge.
The research helps make sense of how digital platforms have simplified our lives and enabled the new economy.
