The Creative Industries Federation has Become the Official Representative of Moscow and the Central Federal District (CFD) to the DC Network
The Districts of Creativity (DC) Network aims to develop cross-country exchange and analytical tools for the creative economy sector and international cooperation facilitation programs.
The DC Network was established in 2004. The network brings together regions from all over the world that support creativity in technology, business, and society in combination with the creative industries.
In addition to Moscow and the Central Federal District, whose representative has become CIF, this network includes the federal state of Baden-Württemberg (Germany), Scotland (UK), Central Jutland (Denmark), Shanghai and the Yangtze River Delta region (PRC), Rio de Janeiro state (Brazil), Oklahoma state (USA), etc.
"About 30% of Russia's population live in the Central Federal District, and almost half of them are Muscovites. No other place in Russia today can offer so many opportunities for rapid creative development. However, the aim of the Creative Industries Federation is to introduce and expand the approach, which is close to DC Network members, to other Russian federal districts as well. I hope that participation in such a network will allow us to consolidate our efforts and find new methods of developing the creative economy in the regions," Igor M. Namakonov, CEO of CIF, said.
